STEM Program

What is STEM?

STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Studies show that students in America have fallen behind in these academic disciplines and have become less interested in these subject areas. Organizations like Patriot 500 Racing have undertaken efforts to improve STEM education throughout the United States to improve proficiency in these subject areas, as well as increase the number of students interested in pursuing degrees in related graduate programs.

Our country’s youth need assistance to obtain skills to succeed in today’s world. This includes the ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive further advancements in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Students who succeed in STEM programs will often be at an advantage when they compete for high tech and high wage jobs. Investing in education is an important strategy to maintain a strong and stable economy.

P500R encourages students to continue their education by completing high school and pursuing college. We believe that engaging students in their academics and encouraging them to excel is vital to their future. Our volunteer programming is at no cost to schools and the days activities are coordinated to reflect each event’s specific needs.

Our STEM curriculum was developed from extensive research, life experience, and through the support and commitment of our volunteers. Certified teachers have helped P500R develop the goals, objectives, and lessons incorporated in our presentations.
